When It Comes To Wine Shipping Services – Invest in Your Wine Collection

When it comes to moving your wine collections, the relocation process is often an afterthought. Most people don’t even think about it until they realize that their movers either opt out of handling a collection or that it’s risky to use a regular moving truck to relocate. Moving trucks are often kept at temperatures above 100 degrees, as they lack ventilation, ultimately making them unsuitable for wine transport.

1) INVENTORY YOUR WINE COLLECTION

Keep an inventory of your collection so that you’re confident that every bottle is accounted for before engaging a wine shipping service.

2) CHOOSE WINE BOXES

There are four different types of wine boxes that you can choose from, each with their own benefits. The box that you choose depends largely on how you plan to relocate your collection.

The main types of wine boxes include:

  • Styrofoam shipper
  • Double wall
  • Retail boxes
  • Original wood crates

4) WINE INSURANCE COVERAGE

5) CHECK WITH YOUR STATE

Certain states have restrictions on the amount of alcohol you can carry across state lines. Before relocating, you should make sure that the process will move forward as smoothly as possible.
